The City of Edinburgh Council have been advised of allocation of capital and revenue funding for 2026-27 from South East Scotland Transport Partnership (SEStran) to deliver against local priorities to increase the uptake of active and sustainable travel. The People and Place Plan objectives, along with the key requirements of funded activities, are outlined in the grant guidance document. Please read this document carefully before beginning your application.
The Council plan to allocate a portion of funds to support local organisations in their work to promote the uptake of active and sustainable travel in the community.
There is an opportunity to work with the Council to deliver:
Social prescribing
This can involve creating opportunities for people to connect with others and walk, wheel and/or cycle more regularly, with the primary aim of improving citizen health and wellbeing
The amount of funding available is £25,000 revenue.
