A Place-based Network is a group of: third sector organisations and groups, working alongside public services and other local partners all connected to a place, that come together to connect, share knowledge, and collaborate for the benefit of the community and the organisations that serve it. This could look like, and is not limited to strengthening community voice, capacity building, resource sharing, resilience and providing continuity for organisations. Each is shaped by the needs of its community.
Place-based Networks are self-organised and either volunteer-led or sometimes hosted or coordinated by a third sector organisation in their local area. EVOC can offer tailored advice and support when needed.
