From training of staff and board members, to information and advice on governance and compliance, to targeted funding via the Edinburgh & Lothian Trust Fund, we are here to help.
Organisational Development
EVOC provides support to organisations working within the Edinburgh area. Using a community development approach the team bring expert skills to support organisations at all stages in their development. The team have knowledge of the legal and reporting frameworks for charities and promote best practice in line with up-to-date guidance and regulations.
Length of support is variable according to circumstance and can range from a one-off meeting to a longer period by negotiation. Our aim is to conclude a period of support which leaves the agency more confident in itself, feeling better placed and stronger than before. Where appropriate we may also link your organisation in with other support agencies to ensure that your organisation has a comprehensive support package.
Priority is given to organisations working within the field of health and social care; however, we may be able to assist organisations working in other fields through our consultancy and learning services.

This includes reporting to funders, OSCR, Companies House, changes to legal form, dissolutions, operational regulations such as disclosure for staff, equal opportunities and health and safety.
This includes roles and responsibilities, skills development, mentoring, effective meetings, leadership and team building for trustees and managers.
Organisational reviews and planning
This includes facilitation of strategic planning for agencies and networks, organisational restructuring, change management, policy development and updates.
This includes assistance with developing a funding strategy, identifying sources and making applications.
This includes choice of legal form, preparation of governing documents, registration with Companies House and/or OSCR, and development processes.
