Research Data Scotland (RDS) has opened applications for its Public Engagement Fund, supporting projects that improve public understanding of the use of data in research.
The fund invites community groups to apply for funding between £1,000 to £10,000 to help them engage their community with data. The project will be further supported through assistance and guidance from RDS public engagement professionals.
Applications open: Mon 2 September
Applications close: Mon 14 Oct at 5pm

Research Data Scotland (RDS) is an independent charity, established in 2021 by the Scottish Government. We are working to connect researchers to public sector data, making it faster and simpler to generate evidence to help others improve society.
We work in partnership with other organisations in Scotland and the UK to build on, and transform, key aspects of the data research system.
This public engagement fund builds on a previous round which took place in 2023 and funded 8 projects across Scotland, reaching over 2700 people.
