Edinburgh Mental Health and Wellbeing Partnership
Edinburgh Mental Health Planning Group:
- Monitors and reviews the Implementation of the Edinburgh Strategic Plan.
- Provides the Edinburgh Integration Joint Board Senior Management Team with a performance management report on a quarterly basis.
- Receives regular reports on the Outcome Measures for the Plan.
- Ensures that the Plan reflects the findings of Significant Case Reviews and Mental Welfare Commission Investigations.
- Ensures that the Plan takes into account recommendations from appropriate research and Knowledge Transfer Partnerships.
- Ensures that the Plan is informed by Service User and Carer lived experience.
- Ensures that the Plan in informed by the views and experience of people who care for people with Mental Health Problems.

Strategic Commissioning Plan workstreams
The IJB Strategic Plan sets the strategic direction for all delegated services and provides the basis for Directions. It is a relatively high level document backed up by more detailed commissioning and delivery plans. The mental health commissioning plan will be delivered under the banner of Thrive Edinburgh, which will be Edinburgh’s all ages mental health strategy.
The plan has six workstreams: Building Resilient Communities, A Place to Live, Get Help When Needed, Closing the Inequalities Gap, Rights based Care, and Meeting Treatment Gaps. To see workstreams with subgroups/projects see here.
Mental Health and Wellbeing Public Social Partnership (PSP)
The Edinburgh Wellbeing Public Social Partnership has created locality and city wide programmes and initiatives which bring together services to support people’s mental health and wellbeing. It builds on good practice and established relationships to co-produce, test and develop innovative approaches for service delivery to improve collaboration, improve people’s experiences, and maximise locality resources.
