The objective of the Carers Landscape Edinburgh Action Research (CLEAR) project is to help improve the lives of unpaid carers in Edinburgh.
More about the CLEAR Project
Using an asset based and human rights-based approach, CLEAR is gathering accurate and up-to-date information on the support currently available to unpaid carers in the City and how that contributes to the delivery of the Edinburgh Carer Strategy 2023-26.
CLEAR is being delivered by a multi-agency partnership group led by EVOC (Edinburgh Voluntary Organisation’s Council) working with Edinburgh Health and Social Care Partnership, and a range of voluntary organisations that support carers.
The project has been delivering a programme of action research since September 2022, engaging carers and cared-for people in the development and delivery of the project. It will finish at the end of January 2024, with a report published in February 2024.
The results of the CLEAR research project will inform the refreshed Edinburgh Joint Carer Strategy as well as future innovations and investments.
