Edinburgh Health and Social Care Partnership (IJB)

The Edinburgh Integration Joint Board (IJB) has the governance oversight of the Edinburgh Health & Social Care Partnership as well as all commissioning.  Given formal powers in April 2016, the Health & Social Care Partnership brings together NHS Lothian’s Community Health services and City of Edinburgh Council’s Health and Social care functions. Scottish Government policy aims to better integrate the two sets of community services to better provide health care and social care to Scotland’s population.

EVOC Chief Executive Bruce Crawford is a non-voting IJB member, representing the interests of the community and voluntary sector.  This brings an additional dimension to the integration of health and social care in Edinburgh – by including information, services and activities provided by Third Sector organisations.  Bruce seeks to influence the IJB’s decision-making processes for the betterment of the citizens of the city, and has agency through the suite of networks and forums across the community and voluntary sector with whom information and policy development is shared.

EIJB Strategic Plan Synopsis 2019-2022

Edinburgh Wellbeing Pact
The Pact is EIJB’s commitment to redefining their relationship with the citizens of Edinburgh and our partners. It’s underpinned by a shared common purpose: to achieve and maximise the wellbeing of all our citizens.

We’ve been working in partnership with the EIJB / EHSCP to help develop new collaborative ways of working with the groups and organisations across the voluntary sector who play such a key role in supporting citizens and communities across Edinburgh.
