THRE – Third Sector Human Rights and Equalities

We are delighted to be one of the partners, with HTSI, supporting project leaders GCVS working on THRE: Third Sector Human Rights & Equalities.

The project partners are working with Scotland’s Third Sector Interfaces (TSIs) to develop resources, training and networks to support voluntary sector organisations towards taking a human rights and equalities first approach to their organisational development and delivery.

The project will also be focused on giving organisations and individuals the skills to become human rights and equalities champions, allowing the sector as a whole to better challenge inequalities and make a positive difference.

Find out more about the background to the project here.

THRE offers free training for anyone working in Scotland’s voluntary sector. The current programme includes the following full-day and half-day sessions:

  • Governance – A Human Rights and Equalities First Approach
  • A Human Rights and Equalities First Approach – The Basics
  • PANEL Principles: Applying a Human Rights and Equalities First Approach: Workshop
  • Funding and Fundraising – A Human Rights and Equalities First Approach
  • Volunteering – A Human Rights and Equalities First Approach

You can find out more about these training course on the THRE project Eventbrite or subscribe to the mailing list here.
