Your project could receive up to £5,000 through the Community Grants Fund – apply now!

19 May 2026 By EVOC Communications Team

Grants of up to £5,000 are available for constituted local voluntary organisations and community groups running projects that make a real difference to people in Edinburgh.

🗓️ Deadline: midnight on Mon 29 Jun 2026

👉 Find out more and apply here.

⏰ Funding is allocated on a first come, first served basis and we expect there to be one round of funding this year.

What is the Community Grants Fund?

The CGF is the City of Edinburgh Council’s small grants scheme, designed to empower communities and support grassroots ideas. There are 13 local funding pots, one for each area of the city, so your application will be considered alongside groups in your own neighbourhood.

Here’s what one local community leader had to say:

“The CGF is an accessible fund for local groups across the city to make good use of. It brings ideas to life, activities to communities and often makes the difference between something happening or not. If you have an idea for improving your community, the CGF can help it to blossom.” – Alan Gordon, Secretary for Longstone Community Council
