Trauma Skilled Practice Course

Health in Mind: Trauma Skilled Practice Course (Zoom)
Wed 17, Wed 24 and Wed 31 Mar 2021, 2.15pm to 4.30pm

This is a course for those with direct and frequent contact with people who may be survivors of trauma.

This training sits at the Skilled Practice Level (Two) in the National Trauma Training Skills Framework.

The course aim is to help participants gain an understanding of the impact of trauma:
– to be able to recognise when an individual requires support 
– to learn appropriate trauma-informed ways of supporting disclosure
– to learn about their own responses and reactions to trauma and how to look after themselves

Herbert Protocol Info Sessions

Police Scotland: Herbert Protocol Info Sessions (MS Teams, no booking required)
Tue 19 Jan 2021 – 2.30pm to 3pm I Thu 21 Jan 2021 – 3pm to 3.30pm

The Herbert Protocol is a nationally recognised scheme focused on people living with dementia who may be at risk of going missing. The main aim is for the Herbert Protocol form to be completed in advance so that significant information is recorded and readily available for police in the event of someone going missing.

If you would like to know more about it, join one of these 30 minute information sessions with PC Yocksan Bell from Police Scotland. There will also be the opportunity to ask questions.

There is no need to book just join the session of your choice: 
Tue 19 Jan 2021 – 2.30pm to 3pm or Thu 21 Jan 2021 – 3pm to 3.30pm

Trauma Informed Practice: Level 1
