At Shore, there is a clear understanding of how challenging things are right now for those working in charities, social enterprises, and the wider third sector.
Funding is stretched, demand continues to rise, and many roles involve constant emotional pressure and exposure to difficult situations.
Alongside this, many individuals bring their own life experiences into the work they do, which can make self-care feel more difficult than it should be.
Recognising why this is the case, understanding what is happening in the brain and body, and identifying what both individuals and organisations can realistically do to help has never felt more important.
For this reason, Shore is offering two half-day workshops at a significantly reduced price for those working in the charitable and social enterprise sectors.
£60 per person, maximum 18 people per workshop
Resilience in Trauma-Exposed Roles
For frontline staff, team leaders and managers working in trauma-exposed or emotionally demanding roles. This workshop will cover:
• How ongoing exposure to trauma and stress impacts you over time
• Why resilience can feel difficult to access, even when you “know what to do”
• Practical, evidence-based tools to support yourself and your team
• How to create more psychologically safe and sustainable ways of working
Empowering High Trust Teams: Building Psychological Safety in Practice
For leaders, managers and teams who want to build more open, trusting and psychologically safe ways of working. This workshop will cover:
• What psychological safety looks like in practice, and why it matters for wellbeing and team performance
• How everyday behaviours, pressures and team norms shape whether people feel able to speak up
• Why trust, accountability and healthy challenge need to work together
• How unintentional actions can sometimes limit openness, contribution and collaboration
• Practical ways to build stronger, more honest and more empowered teams
If this feels relevant, they’d love you to come along.
You can view both workshops and book your place here.
You’d also be supporting one of Shore’s core aims: helping people understand their brain and behaviour in a way that builds resilience and improves mental health and wellbeing.
As a social enterprise, we operate a pay-it-forward model with charity partners, so by taking part, you are also helping us give back to the community.
