As part of the Scottish Government’s implementation of The Young Person’s Guarantee, The City of Edinburgh Council is delighted to launch a proposal process for Young Person’s Guarantee Grants.
Young Person’s Guarantee Grants are being awarded in 2022-23 to support the delivery of the Young Person’s Guarantee in Edinburgh. This is intended to provide young people with further support to access an opportunity, based on their own personal circumstances and ambitions.
Following a review of the existing employability pipeline in Edinburgh and recently funded Young Person’s Guarantee activities in 2021-22, and in line with the Young Person’s Guarantee priorities, it is suggested that the focus of any further expenditure in 2022-23 should be on the specific priority groups and activities further outlined below:
1. Young people from Black Asian and Minority Ethnic backgrounds
2. Money advice, budgeting and financial inclusion support
3. Support for those aged 20 – 24 who have dropped out of activity
4. Dedicated in-work support to help sustain employment
Young Person’s Guarantee Grant Funding 2022-23 is available for the above priorities & activities only, to the maximum value of £75,000.00 per organisation, per project application.
