The Eric Liddell Community Christmas Appeal

19 December 2022 By EVOC Communications Team

“I had a great time yesterday. I could not stop smiling on my way home. I don’t really have belly laughs anymore but I did yesterday. It was great to feel that feeling again.”

Loneliness has the same impact on mortality as smoking 15 cigarettes a day.
But laughter creates social bonds, reduces pain and anxiety and increases wellbeing.
Please join The Eric Liddell Community in their mission to bring people together in their local community, creating opportunities to connect and give a few belly laughs this Christmas.

What your donation could enable:

  • £10 could provide a hot, nutritious two course meal at a Wellbeing Lunch
  • £20 could enable an unpaid carer to join a group outing in Edinburgh
  • £50 helps provide specialist volunteer training to support our Day Service
  • £120 could help heat our Community Hub for a day

After two years of lockdowns, your gift this Christmas means more than ever before.

You can make a donation on The Eric Liddell Community website here.

If you’d like to discuss your gift with us, please don’t hesitate to get in touch with Alice Russell, Fundraising and Development Manager on 0131 357 1281.
