The City of Edinburgh Council has secured capital and revenue funding from South East Scotland Transport Partnership (SEStran) to deliver against local priorities to increase the uptake of active travel.
The Council plan to allocate a portion of funds to support local organisations in their work to promote the uptake of active travel in the community.
There’s an opportunity to work with the Council to deliver:
- Hire and/or loan support to access adaptive bikes and/or mobility aids.
These should include:
- Targeted training and/or promotion of mobility-aid friendly routes via disability advocacy networks
- Buddy events and/or drop-in sessions to improve confidence with travelling actively.
Funding available: £55,000 revenue and £22,000 capital.
