The University of Edinburgh’s Street Law programme is looking for new community partners. This is a great opportunity to get information on law that is important to your community.
Students will work with community partners to assess their needs. They will then deliver an interactive presentation about law and policy relevant to them. Previous Street Law sessions have covered the law relating to asylum seekers, consumer and employment rights, and a session for school pupils on the age of legal responsibility.
Students will be guided by University staff. Their participation is part of their studies.
There is no cost to community partners, but community partner support will be needed in identifying the law to be covered and getting people to attend the presentation.
Key dates:
• August 2026: Initial informal chat with Lourens Grove, Course Organiser, Street Law
• October 2026: Needs assessment session.
• November 2026: Street Law session delivered, either at your building (if applicable) or at the University.
