The University of St Andrews invites you to their third annual Global Challenges Lecture Series, free for all residents of Scotland. This year’s theme is “Global Communities, Global Collaboration”.
As communication in the digital age has become easier, communities around the world have been able to learn from each other and develop new ideas and practices through knowledge sharing. This series will cover how different communities around the world have reacted to the new global world and how communities can be formed across borders and outside of geographical boundaries. It will look at the resilience of communities in the face of change, how policy and politics are impacted by global collaboration, and how new communities are founded by the movement of people and ideas.
Who is it for?
The lecture series will appeal to those with an interest in the leadership of individuals and groups in a time of societal challenge. The lecture series and short course will be of particular interest to those involved in public and private leadership positions; or people who are interested in the study of human behavior – such as how the workforce and businesses have responded to the crisis.
Free Lecture Access and Postgraduate Opportunities
Lecture access is free for all residents of Scotland through the Scottish Funding Council’s Upskilling scheme. You may optionally enroll in a postgraduate-level short course; if you take this option, in addition to the lectures and facilitated discussions, you will take part in follow-up small group sessions, where you can exchange reflections on your practice. Five SCQF Credits are available upon successful completion of these activities and an associated reflective assessment.
