The Scottish COVID-19 Inquiry has launched its listening project, Let’s Be Heard: Sharing Scotland’s COVID Experience.
Let’s Be Heard is inviting everyone affected by the COVID-19 pandemic in Scotland to share their experiences with the Inquiry. By hearing directly from people across the country, the Inquiry can better understand how the pandemic impacted lives and communities. This will help Scotland to learn important lessons for the future.
Voluntary and Community Organisations in Edinburgh
The Scottish COVID-19 Inquiry would like to hear from voluntary and community organisations in Edinburgh on how you could work together to make sure that people and communities in the City are encouraged to have a say.
Here are a number of different ways that you might be able to help:
- Work with the Let’s Be Heard team to set up a meeting in your community – Let’s Be Heard can cover expenses and associated costs e.g. accessible venue hire and participant travel expenses.
- Include details of the Let’s Be Heard project in your news bulletins – Let’s Be Heard can share the content.
- Invite Let’s Be Heard along to any planned discussions about the Scottish COVID-19 Inquiry – they will attend if they can.
- Share any existing feedback or reports that reflect people’s lived experience of the pandemic in your area – Let’s Be Heard team realises that people may have already shared their experiences, that this could be difficult for people, and that a huge amount of work has already been undertaken to record experiences and reflections which the Inquiry can learn from.
If you have already collected people’s experiences of the pandemic
If you are part of a group or organisation, you may have already collected information about people’s experiences of the pandemic in Scotland. You can send Let’s Be Heard the report of these experiences and this will be included in the findings.
