Learning Opportunity

Compassionate Care in Crisis, a 2 ½ day intensive training delivered by The Resilience Resource in Edinburgh this September.

Taking place 9-11 September at the Quaker Meeting House, Edinburgh, this training equips people across all sectors with practical skills for supporting people through traumatic and critical incidents.

Places are capped at 40 to ensure a high-quality, participatory experience.

The programme covers:
• The holistic impact of trauma
• Survivor-centred crisis care, including trauma-informed peer support and psychological first aid
• Assessment and assistance for those experiencing grief and loss, cumulative stress, and moral injury
• Special circumstances of care – sexual harassment and assault, and suicidal ideation
• Principles and practice of individual and group processing conversations (debriefing)
And more.

The training is designed for anyone who may encounter individuals in crisis. This training is highly participatory, creating an environment of collaborative learning together.

Cost per participant:
• £149 — Scottish residents (discounted rate)
• £249 — standard rate
Scholarships are available upon request.
