The Ripple Project, together with the Craigentinny Community Centre Management Committee, is leading a year-long community consultation to explore the future of Craigentinny Castle and its surrounding grounds. Working alongside local residents, groups, and partners, they’re developing a shared vision for how this cherished landmark can best serve the community in the years ahead.
As part of this process, they are inviting a wide range of organisations, practitioners, artists, and specialists to deliver sessions that spark imagination, encourage conversation, and inspire new possibilities. They’re particularly keen to collaborate with partners who can contribute in a flexible and community-minded way.
They would be delighted to explore the possibility of involving you or your organisation in one of our themed weeks. Contributions can take many forms, such as:
- A short presentation or demonstration of your work
- A workshop, discussion, or engagement activity
- An opportunity for residents to experience or learn something connected to your expertise
- A session that helps people imagine how your type of activity or service could be delivered from the Castle in future
Each month, they are hosting a week of activities where local people can explore ideas, try new experiences, and help shape the Castle’s future. The themes and dates are:
- February (Mon 16 – Sat 21): Wellbeing
- March (Mon 16 – Sat 21): Creativity
- April (Mon 13 – Sat 18): Togetherness
- May (Mon 18 – Sat 23): Community Wealth Building
- Saturday 13 June: Final community event to share back what we’ve heard and check this with residents
They are very open to co-designing something with you that aligns with your strengths, availability, and the monthly themes. Activities can be aimed at children, families, adults, or mixed groups.
