Target Audience: This level of training is mandatory for all members of staff (including agency staff) and volunteers who work in Edinburgh in customer-facing roles, and who have regular contact with adults who are unable to safeguard their own interests and are at risk of harm because they are affected by: disability, mental disorder, illness or physical/mental infirmity. This should be renewed every 2 years.
Learning Aims: To share experience and best practice amongst people engaged in Adult Protection work; Gain understanding of potential impact of harm and neglect on the adult at risk and how issues relating to capacity and choice can affect the investigation; Gain confidence in identifying Adult Protection concerns; Gain knowledge of roles and responsibilities of agencies and professionals under Adult Protection; Understand your role in an Adult Protection Case Conference.

They will issue the invitation and joining instructions a week or two before the training. We advise that you mark the training in your calendar as soon as your booking is confirmed.
