Locality Operational Groups (LOGs) have been meeting weekly since the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic and bring together a range of professionals to consult on the needs of children,
young people and families.
Each of Edinburgh’s 4 localities has a LOG, with knowledge of services in their area.
LOGs support Getting It Right For Every Child best practice and help find solutions when there are challenges in support for children, young people and families by connecting individuals / organisations with the full range of resources available in the locality and city-wide.
The Groups meet weekly, bringing together 12 voluntary and public sector staff from both the voluntary and the public sector.
LOG members include voluntary sector reps for:
Early Years, Equalities & Rights, Family Support, Health & Wellbeing, Support for Learning & Universal Youth Work
They also include public sector reps for:
Additional Support For Learning Service, Early Years, Family & Household Support, Lifelong Learning, NHS Health Visiting Service, Parent & Carer Support & Social Work
