The City of Edinburgh Council is committed to working towards ending poverty by 2030, a target set by the City’s Poverty Commission. The winter months will see increasing financial pressure on households and part of their response to that will be to ensure that their public buildings are as warm and welcoming as possible for their citizens.
A key strand of this will be the creation of a ‘Warm and Welcoming’ webpage on the Council’s website which will link to the existing Cost of Living webpage Cost of living – The City of Edinburgh Council
This new page is currently under development, but is planned to include information about the public spaces that are available to citizens, to feature details of the programmes of activities that will be delivered from those spaces and also include links to more information of participating organisations.
