The work of Edinburgh’s Community Link Worker Network was recognised at this year’s Social Prescribing Awards.
The Network won the Award for the Best Local Social Prescribing Link Worker Team/Service. The judges noted that the team showed clear strategic and evidenced commitment to tackling health inequalities.
Alison Leitch (Assistant Service Manager) commented:
“My colleague Dawn and I were delighted to receive this award on behalf of Edinburgh’s Community Link Workers. The awards ceremony was part of the International Social Prescribing Conference which was attended by over 20 different countries so it has well and truly put Edinburgh and Scotland on the social prescribing map.”
The 2024 Social Prescribing Awards took place on 19 and 20 June 2024 and were hosted by the Social Prescribing Network and the National Academy for Social Prescribing.
The awards recognise and celebrate the wealth of innovative social prescribing projects and schemes running throughout the UK and internationally.
