Edinburgh CMHW Fund: Year 2 Officially Open

16 October 2022 By EVOC Comms

Please Note: Submissions have now closed.

We are delighted to announce that Year 2 of the Communities Mental Health and Wellbeing (CMHW) Fund in Edinburgh is officially open.

There is £1.252m on offer for the second year of the Fund, which was created by Scottish Government to invest in local, grass-roots activities that support people’s mental health and wellbeing in the aftermath of the Covid-19 pandemic.

Year 2 Funding Streams
There are three streams to the Year 2 funding programme:

  • Up to £2,500 – for small groups and smaller, discrete projects.
  • Between £2,500 and £20,000 – for the main grants programme.
  • Up to £5,000 – for capital projects; applications which rely upon match funding must have all agreements for such match funding in place prior to application to this fund.

Each group/organisation is permitted to submit 1 proposal – we cannot accept multiple submissions.

Submitting a Proposal
If you are planning to submit a proposal to the CMHW Fund, the first step is to decide which one of the categories applies to your organisation (see below). For each of these categories we have created a graphic timeline and a guidance document that provides an overview of the process and all the information and deadlines you will need to apply. Use the links below to access the information for your category:

  • First time organisations (who didn’t apply to Year 1 of the Fund)
  • Year 1 funded organisations that want to run the same project with the same investment (Option 1)
  • Year 1 funded organisations that want to submit a different project proposal and/or change the investment amount (Option 2)
  • Year 1 organisations who want to finish their project at the end of Year 1 (Option 3)

You can find out more about submitting an Initial Proposal or Evaluations for Year 1 funded organisations here.

If you would like to clarify any aspects of the guidance or have a question about the proposal you are developing, please get in touch with one of our funding team: [email protected]

Key dates for Year 2:

  • Initial proposals: Open Mon 17 Oct – Close Fri 28 Oct 2022
  • Evaluations: Open Mon 17 Oct – Close Mon 31 Oct 2022
