The purpose of the Locality Operational Groups (LOGs) was to respond collaboratively and quickly to needs emerging from the COVID-19 pandemic in order to make the best use of resources.

It also presents seven recommendations for future signposting, navigation and access initiatives:
- Strengthen relationships for children, young people, parents and carers
- Invest to scale-up linkage processes between people in communities and services
- Recognise workforce and culture as a priority
- Increase awareness through relationships and networks
- Include and involve primary care GP practices and clusters
- Provide live information about availability
- Access for communities

As a multi-disciplinary intermediary service, the LOGs aid ambitions at the heart of The Promise:
