We are delighted to share details of a new addition to the EVOC training programme focused on supporting people to lead a systemic approach to anti-racism within their organisation – download the programme outline.
The Black and Minority Ethnic/People of Colour Working Group established through EVOC’s Children Young People and Families Network have developed this concept to meet the needs of local community-based organisations. The facilitators of the programme are Vicky Nyanga-Ndiaye (Project Esperanza) and Helene Rodger (Passion4Fusion).
The Training Programme
Organisations will take part in a 12-month process, beginning with engagement, induction and reflection on a pre-training questionnaire followed by 4 days of in-person training: Tue 30 Apr, Tue 10 Sep, Tue 26 Nov, and Tue 11 Feb 25, 10am – 4pm each session.
The aim of the year long process of collaboration and reflection is to allow sufficient time and support for staff to achieve their personal learning goals and for the organisations to make significant progress towards a positive transformation of culture.
Course Commitment
There is space for 10 organisations to sign up to this year-long programme, committing 2 members of staff who can attend all the sessions. This is to ensure continuity for well-planned and sustainable developments.
When selecting participants, organisations are asked to consider which roles are best placed to carry through a systemic and consistent approach.
