I have over ten years’ experience working in the public and Third Sector on public health and sustainable development. I began working at a local authority in London alongside communities and voluntary organisations to create healthier and greener environments. I then moved to the Sustainable Development Commission where I worked with the NHS and the Department of Health to influence policy at the national level and contributed to the Marmot Review of Health Inequalities. At ClientEarth most recently I combined local and national, managing work to engage communities in London on air pollution while leading a campaign to raise the profile of this issue with the UK government.
Health inequalities and prevention have been consistent themes in my previous roles, and I feel lucky to be supporting some amazing organisations which bring some of these theories to life in Edinburgh. I specifically support forums on mental health and learning disabilities as well as taking a lead on prevention and health inequalities.
