Nourish Scotland is looking for a new team member to strengthen our work on sustainable food and farming. The work will involve:
* Co-ordinating and supporting our collaborative inquiry into the future of food and farming in Scotland, in the context of the 1.5 degree goal. This will involve organising meeting logistics and witnesses: recording and summarising evidence sessions and panel discussions; collating, summarising and curating published research and other relevant data; and helping with the drafting, amendments and editing of interim and final reports from the inquiry.
* Developing and representing Nourish’s perspective and position in two civil society networks. In Stop Climate Chaos Scotland, we have a focus on the food and farming side of climate policy, and in particular on progressing measures to increase nitrogen use efficiency and reduce nitrogen pollution. In Scottish Environment Link, Nourish currently chairs the Food and Farming subgroup and we will be closely involved in helping to shape the post 2020 system of farming and rural support
* Contributing to Nourish’s work as part of the South Asia Nitrogen Hub, and in particular building partnerships with South Asian civil society organisations working on farming and environmental issues
