The procurement process has opened for the contract working with the Recovery Community – the work Edinburgh Recovery Activities (ERA) has been delivering since the closure of the Serenity Café.
ERA has been providing a means of connection for the recovery community since the project begun in mid 2018. Pre-lockdown, ERA offered a range of weekly groups, one-off events like Open Mic nights, group trips, and worked closely with the many recovery orientated organisation across the city. At the start of lockdown, the project was quick to bring these experiences online via Zoom and has continued to support the Recovery Community throughout. It is hoped that the project will be able to open a city centre recovery centre offering not only further activities and peer support, but, a safe place for peers to thrive.
