The Royal Company of Merchants of the City of Edinburgh have identified a possible need for a city centre hub for the third sector in Edinburgh.
The Trustees are therefore considering creating a place where charities, community groups and social enterprises in and around Edinburgh might be interested in coming together, either as full or part-time tenants in shared office space, or as occasional ‘hot desk’ users, or both.
They might also be able to hold meetings and events. In addition, many charities need to bring trustees, volunteers, users and others into central Edinburgh and there may be a need for a welcome drop in space to support people in the centre of the city.
This survey is to better understand the nature of the need and demand for space in the city centre from people who might be interested in operating there, either as a base, or as a visitor.
