The popularity of the ‘Are You Ready For S*x?’ leaflet prompted the development of a manual and a one day training programme.
This exciting 1-day training programme aims to:
- Increase knowledge, skills and confidence in the delivery of Sex and Relationships Education within 1-1 or group work settings,
- Explore a range of practical methods and activities to encourage young people to consider delaying sexual activity, to explore risks and think about personal safety,
- Provide participants with a ‘ready to use’ manual that contains over 16 fun and participatory session plans covering issues such as acceptable or unacceptable behaviour, resisting pressure, readiness for sex, internet safety, sexuality and alcohol.
For: Anyone who works with young people and has some experience in sexual health work and child protection. The training and manual has been designed to be used with young people in informal youth settings however use is not restricted to these settings.
Places are free for workers who are a member of the Healthy Respect Network.
£130 this cost includes a copy of the ‘Are You Ready For Sex?’ manual which contains over 16 fun and participatory session plans covering issues such as acceptable or unacceptable behaviour, resisting pressure, readiness for sex, internet safety, sexuality, alcohol.
