Extended deadline for application – now 2nd Feb
The City of Edinburgh Council is running a PB Champion project and third sector organisations can apply to take part.
With a commitment to increase the use of PB (over £8M CEC budget by 2021), there is a need to have a network of third sector people who really understand PB – and can support the use of good practice throughout the City (probably through being on steering groups for projects). This may be of particular interest to organisations working with people with protected characteristics, or local development organisations, who may wish to run PB projects in the future themselves, amongst others.
There are 20 places available for third sector organisations (out of 60 in total which will also be allocated to citizens and CEC staff). The training is for 2 days (1 @ full day and 1 @ ½ day), and for third sector organisations there will be a backfill rate available to contribute to an organisation’s costs to participate. Update there are currently only 3 third sector organisations taking up this opportunity – so would like to encourage more.
The training considers PB from the viewpoints of different stakeholders, the funders, the community, the third sector and the organisers and gives a rounded view of the process, and focusses on what is good practice in a PB.
