Scottish Parliament Community Outreach Team will be here to deliver a Parliamentary awareness session followed by a short participatory workshop about Scotland’s proposed Deposit Return Scheme.

Parliamentary Awareness Session (10am – 11:30am)

The session will cover; the role of Community Outreach Team, Scottish Parliament versus Scottish Government, the role of MSPS, devolved versus reserved issues, the role of committees, how to get involved and different types of engagement.

Then after a short coffee break and a biscuit the workshop will follow.

Scotland’s proposed Deposit Return Scheme (11:45am – 12:30pm)

This is an opportunity to feed into a piece of live Committee work by the Environment Climate Change and Land Reform Committee. Your thoughts on the price, materials, ease of use and the potential impact on recycling and littering. We are particularly interested in any unforeseen barriers to participation. More information about the consultation and Call for Views is here.

The session is designed to be interactive, participative and fun.
