The impact of Covid-19 is also happening inside the stresses and strains of our workforces. Doing a good annual appraisal is a great opportunity to find the balance in the relationship between your staff at the individual level and what is needed now and in the future. In this half day course leaders and managers will get to know the essentials of doing an annual appraisal well, so that your staff get congratulated as well as signposted to what is needed for 2021. This course can be a refresher or new managers and it is also for Chairs of Boards who should be doing the appraisal of their CEO as well as doing appraisal type meeting with each board member. Ultimately it is about supporting change and developing good performance.

To enable managers and leaders to run your annual appraisal meetings well with all staff.
Objectives of the workshop:
- Developing your understanding of the purpose and benefits of appraisals
- To explore how the annual appraisal fits into your organisational development cycle
- To take time to reflect and develop some strategies and tactics for how to maximise the benefit for everyone for this years appraisals.
This course compliments the Support and Supervision Essentials half day and the Effective Support and Supervision 2 day skills course.
Organisations based in Edinburgh and the Lothians with a turnover of £200,000 or less could be eligible for a training grant, which can cover either 2 half day courses or one full day course.
