Change Fund Innovation Grants Awarded

EVOC is delighted to make available the full list of projects that have been successful in applying for funding from the Reshaping Care for Older People – Change Fund Innovation Fund programme.

Ella Simpson, EVOC Director said, “This is a direct investment for services in local people’s communities.  The voluntary sector in Edinburgh is absolutely key in delivering quality support to older people living in their own homes and we are delighted that City of Edinburgh Council and NHS Lothian recognize this.  The Innovation Fund is an excellent example of the potential of partnership working”.

In total 51 project proposals costed at over £1.7m were considered by the Change Fund Funding Panel and the 20 successful projects account for the full £552,600 allocation.  Many projects start in the new year, with the latest start in March 2012.  EVOC will be working with the organisations that are delivering the projects to best demonstrate their contribution to the Scottish Government’s aim of shifting the balance of care from hospitals and care homes to the community, by helping to provide a good quality of life and improved wellbeing amongst people aged over 65 still living in their own homes.
