Community Empowerment and Renewal Bill

This ThinkSpace event took place at EVOC from 9.30am to 12.30pm on Wednesday 16th November in our office at 14 Ashley Place – EH6 5PX. Its purpose was to gather views on the Scottish Government’s upcoming Community Empowerment and Renewal Bill.

Innovation Fund: Information Morning and Surgeries

Many of you joined us at EVOC on Wednesday 2nd November to hear about the Innovation Fund, and to work through the outcomes, impacts and targets that the programme is keen to see achieved.  This event was held to provide applicants with the chance to come and ask questions of the staff who are administering the fund, to seek guidance on ideas and to find out how to express them on the application form, to be in with the best chance of being successful.

We also held surgeries for organisations preparing applications for the Innovation Fund, over a number of dates in November. EVOC staff provided one-to-one support and answered questions specific to draft applications.

Manifesto Development on Democracy Day

Our most recent event was Manifesto Development on Democracy Day, held on Thursday 15 September. The purpose of this event was to gather views and generate discussion in support of the development of a Third Sector Manifesto that will influence the priorities and policies of the next Council administration. Twenty three people attended the event, representing organisations from all across Edinburgh. You can find more information and discussion in ThinkSpace as the manifesto develops, or contact Milind to contribute your views.
