Staff Handbooks
Your organisation as an employer should also have clear and specific rules, often this is made into a staff handbook, which should be given to employees as part of their induction.
These rules might include your organisation’s policies on:-
- alcohol and drugs
- confidentiality
- use of email and internet
- data protection
- bullying and harassment
- whistleblowing
Your staff handbook, or rules, should also cover examples of gross misconduct and items of grievance. Written copies of your organisation’s disciplinary and grievance procedures should also be given to employees with their contract.
