Single Outcome Agreements
The Single Outcome Agreement (SOA) is a strategic document drawn up by Local Authorities setting out the priorities for their own local area. These priorities will be set out as outcomes (relating to the Scottish Government’s National Outcomes).
How do Single Outcome Agreements relate to Community Planning?
Community Planning is the process by which the connections between national priorities set by Scottish Government, and those at local government and community level, are improved. The Community Planning process is focussed through the Single Outcome Agreement which requires local authorities and community planning partners to detail how they will achieve and deliver on the fifteen national outcomes set by Scottish Government.
SOAs were first introduced in 2007. The SOA’s agreed in 2009 are intended to run on a three year rolling basis with annual reviews.
