VSSG

Given the depth and diversity of Edinburgh’s Third Sector, the Voluntary Sector Strategy Group (VSSG) was set up as a way to engage with the Sector, and represent its interests on the Edinburgh Compact Partnership. Each of the three parties which make up Edinburgh’s Third Sector Interface is represented on the VSSG.

The VSSG has a broad membership which seeks to draw together a range of third sector voices to enable more effective engagement with the breadth of community planning structures and processes across the city.

Recognising the need to be responsive, flexible and inclusive the VSSG has agreed to restructure the way it conducts its business. Its intention is to engage with a broader range of third sector interests in a flexible way. Current VSSG members will form a ‘core group,’ with other voices encouraged to participate – should they wish to do so – in a Third Sector Policy Forum. We will share details of progress as they become available.
