Climate Change

On 7 April 2011 the Edinburgh Partnership Board agreed to establish a Climate Change Strategic Partnership (CCSP), as one of six strategic partnerships to lead on key issues for the city.

Climate Change is now seen by governments at national and international levels as a key policy area with the new Climate Change (Scotland) Act setting out ambitious carbon reduction targets along with new duties for Public Bodies. 

The new CCSP will address a range of issues in this area including taking an overview of the relevant strategic theme(s) in the Single Outcome Agreement. The CCSP will also be expected to contribute to strategy development and delivery, including preparation of strategies, plans and action documents.
