Community Health

EVOC is a member of the Edinburgh Community Health Partnership which manages the primary and community-based health services within Edinburgh.  This includes services such as health visitors, community psychiatric nurses, occupational and physiotherapy support.  The Partnership monitors quality, quantity and priorities within this complex landscape. 

Health Inequalities Standing Group

EVOC has a place on the Health Inequalities Standing Group (HISG), a subgroup of the Edinburgh Community Health Partnership. The HISG reports through a variety of governance arrangements on the Joint Health Improvement Plan for the city, and on the health inequalities strand of Fairer Scotland Fund spend in communities of multiple deprivation. EVOC contributes to discussions around commissioning and procurement, identifying priorities and promotes the role and value of voluntary sector provision in addressing health inequalities.
