Link Up provides a safe caring environment in the community for women who suffer from mental health problems and social isolation. We encourage and support women to achieve their full potential through providing support, education, confidence building, health education and health promotion.
Our members are treated as individuals and many describe the organisation as a ‘Link Up Family’. The majority of our current Board are members of our support groups – we wish this to remain the case but would welcome others to the team.
We welcome volunteers who support our goals and aim to support you right back as much as we can!
Volunteers will come from a wide range of backgrounds and will have many different qualities and skills. Desirable qualities for this role are:
- Understanding of and interest in LUWSC
- Understanding of and interest in women’s only services
- Understanding of and interest in mental health & wellbeing and how to promote it
- Understanding of:
- the funding environment
- human resource management
- Time and energy!
