Founded in October 2015, TCAN is a network of organisations and individuals who live, work and are active in Tollcross Edinburgh. Our vision for Tollcross is a supportive and diverse community where people are empowered and engaged locally to fulfil their potential.
Since our founding, we have opened a community advice and information hub in partnership with Citizens Advice, brought the community together through events and activities and engaged local decisions makers on issues which matter to local residents. We have a small but very committed board and are looking for individuals who have the skills and experience to take the organisation to the next stage of development. We hope that this will include opening our own community space, working local people to tackle social isolation and further developing our campaigning activities.
