Disabled Children and Young People Implementation Adviser– Better Life Chances Unit

A secondment opportunity is available with the Better Life Chances Unit of the Scottish Government based in Edinburgh at Victoria Quay.

The successful candidate will play a central role in implementing Scottish Government policy for disabled children and young people.  They will work with the Rights and Participation Team taking forward work around supporting parents, data requirements, participation of parents, children and young people and transitions and with the GIRFEC team to make sure that policy for disabled children is implemented as practically as possible within the GIRFEC approach.

The secondment will run from September 2012, or as soon as possible thereafter, and will be for a period up until and including 31 March 2014.
