Learning Disability Alliance Scotland Newsletter May 2012

Please download here the LDAS newsletter for May 2012.

There are two main articles in this edition.

The first looks at what might happen when Disability Living Allowance changes to Personal Independence Payment.  It is based on research we carried out with 150 people with learning disabilities from all regions of Scotland.  The full report and more details about the research are available at our website.

Our second article looks at the question of fairness in personalisation.  Often we are told that personalisation is fairer and that in the past some people have had more than their fair share.  Stuart Devlin has told us his story about what this means in practice.

There is an audio version of this newsletter on our website.  If you would like a copy emailed to you or a version on a disk please let Ian Hood know – contact details below.
