Foster Me, Foster Us

The City of Edinburgh Council really needs your help in publicising our current foster care campaign, Foster Me, Foster Us, to recruit carers for young people with challenging behaviour, aged 7 years old and older.   The campaign runs from Monday 3 October to Sunday 16 October and features a girl called Jade asking people to foster her.  We are reminding the public that children in Edinburgh need loving families who can give them childhood experiences that others take for granted, like a safe and loving home with adults they can trust.

Our message to the public is

“My name is Jade. I am 15 years old. They call me sad and angry. They don’t understand me. I just want a chance in a family that will stick by me. Could you foster me?

Do you have the energy, patience and resilience to foster challenging, yet rewarding children like Jade? With the City of Edinburgh Council, you can make a career out of fostering. We urgently need more foster carers so call us 0800 174 833, text FOSTER to 88600.

We would really love some help in publicising this campaign so it would be great if you could spread the word and help get as many interested people to call us as possible.  We are especially targeting people who have experience in care of adults or young people.

We would be really grateful if you could put up this poster and circulate the flyers.
