Edinburgh Voluntary Organisations' Trust

Introduction

Over the years EVOC has been asked to administer a number of trusts and other funds.

At one point, there were 17 trusts – now these have have been amalgamated into a single trust called Edinburgh Voluntary Organisations' Trust (EVOT).

Applications

In broad terms the trusts operate in the area of social welfare and are geared to assist voluntary organisations in their work. Most of the funds are distributed to organisations and individuals within the Edinburgh area.

Organisations working in the following areas would NOT normally be considered:

• Those concerned solely with the arts, although consideration will be given to applications for work with priority groups i.e. learning difficulties, physical disability, the elderly and substance abuse.
• Churches seeking funds for repairs and alterations except where these have the effect of providing resources for the above priority groups.
• Private schools and colleges.
