Edinburgh Voluntary Organisations’ Trust

Details

Edinburgh Voluntary Organisations’ Council (EVOC) (formerly Edinburgh Council of Social Services) has for many years administered a number of small Trusts. These are legacies from individuals who wished to donate a sum of money for the benefit of voluntary agencies and individuals in need where poverty and illness are main factors.

The Trust funds are restricted to beneficiaries in the City of Edinburgh and the Lothians.

The Trust funds are managed by a body of Trustees known as Edinburgh Voluntary Organisations’ Trust (EVOT) and appointed by the Board of EVOC.

The current Trustees are:

  • Chair/Treasurer: Graeme Thom
  • Secretary : Geoffrey Lord
  • Trustee : Penny Richardson
  • Trustee : Monica Langa
  • Trustee : Sandra Blake

Former Trustees:

Maureen O’Neill and Jayne Fisher served as Trustees of EVOT for 5 years until term of office ended for both on 28 November 2002.

The funds are administered at EVOC by the Trust Administrator Janette Scappaticcio.

With the approval of the Court of Session and the Inland Revenue, several of the smaller Trusts and funds were amalgamated on 2 February 2001 into one Trust – EVOT registered charity SC031561.
