Care Resource Team
Services
The aim of the service is to support and promote the effectiveness
of social care organisations in the planning and delivery of social
care. For this we offer:
- advice, information and support to new groups and embryonic
services
- advice, information and short term work to a wide
range of social care agencies
- longer term work with social
care organisations (6 months to 1 year) on community development
and capacity building bases
- tailor made workshops and seminars
for Management Committees and organisations
- support for
organisations undergoing review and structural change
- information
and support on a range of issues concerning registration
of care requirements
- planned and supported joint working initiatives
in community planning, joint futures and community health partnerships
- support
services to fora of social care agencies to maintain and develop
involvement in local planning structures
- information and support
on the development and implementation of organisational policies
and procedures, including employment issues,
user involvement and advocacy and representation
- assistance
to projects in resolving structural questions and concerns
- a
monthly newsletter of information on policy, legislation
and other material relevant to the voluntary sector
We are also looking
ahead and envisage the new Charities Bill, Social Work reorganisation
in the city, the implementation of the Compact
Strategy, and the introduction of Community Health Partnerships
as key areas of future work.
