Designed to meet the requirements of the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974, other appropriate legislation, skills for care and National Care Standards. This training course will provide participants with the information needed to ensure a safe working environment, by outlining the benefits and legal requirements of adopting effective health and safety measures in the workplace.
Participants will be made aware of potential risks in the workplace; their responsibilities, and the responsibilities of their co-workers and employers; together with the legal requirements for reporting and recording accidents. Participants will explore the concept of risk assessment and it’s application to their places of work.
This course is intended for all staff with responsibility for health and safety, and no prior knowledge is assumed or required.
